Once again, this year’s Presidents Prize entries were just as fascinating and varied as previously. We learned about a diverse range of conditions: from Varicella pneumonia to cutaneous Leishmaniasis; from post operative re-admission rates to pre-operative advice on air travel; and from MEOWS scores to rib fracture management.
Well done to all the presenters, and congratulations to the winners who educated us on an unusual visual side effect of recreational “poppers”, an interesting case of Catatonia, the use of simulations in training Foundation doctors and improving lipid control in secondary prevention.
